Two men, including a driver, were killed in a road accident in Cumilla on Friday night.

The incident took place at 10:00pm yesterday at Soagazi area under Cumilla Sadar (south) as a running passenger bus hit a pick up van when it was taking a u-turn on Dhaka-Chattogram Highway, according to a Bangla daily.

The deceased were identified as Hafez Maulana Faizullah, owner of Al Karim Library in Mogholtuli of the city and resident of Barura Upazila of the district and Zakir Hossain, pickup driver of Kaliajuri area of Cumilla.

The accident also injured another one named Abdul Hamid son of Hafez Maulana Faizullah.
